Charles Le Maire, costume designer for theater and film, began his career in the 1920s designing for revues such as the Ziegfeld Follies. Consists of nine drawings in watercolor and pencil some with fabric swatches attached. Most are for women's costumes from unidentified productions. Some are signed "Le Maire-'21". Pencil notations include last name of performer and costume type such as "Holland, Havana, Quaker, Swedish, merry widow, cowboy, and jealousy.".

Charles Le Maire designed costumes, with Mark Mooring, for the 1925 Greenwich Village Follies, having designed the costumes for the revue's more famous rival, the Ziegfeld Follies, a year earlier.
